A Haysville woman has been charged with first degree murder for the death of a Wichita man who was reported missing in November.
Bond for 19-year-old Tehya Turner was set at $1 million. She has been charged with burglary and a misdemeanor count of theft in addition to the murder count. Attorneys are scheduled to discuss the case again on December 19th.
Turner was arrested in connection with the death of 41-year-old Brent Boone. He was last seen on November 24th at his home in the 1300 block of North Pershing, before leaving in a car with two people. Turner was identified as one of those people. Police are still looking for 31-year-old Saul Chavez Valenciana of Wichita. Police believe Boone was killed during an altercation that took place inside the car. The car was later found abandoned near 21st and Ridge Road.
Boone’s body was found in rural Sumner County, in an area southwest of Clearwater. Police said the killing took place in the 9100 block of South Pattie in Haysville.
