Police and school officials in Derby are investigating after a threat was reported at a middle school.
The threat was discovered Wednesday, written on a bathroom wall at Derby North Middle School. The comments included a racial slur and a threat of violence. Extra police officers were stationed at the school on Thursday as a precaution.
The school district released a statement expressing appreciation to the person who reported the threat. The district said it takes all threats seriously and said racism in any form will not be tolerated.
