Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt is praising voters for turning down a proposal that would have legalized recreational marijuana in the state.
Oklahoma approved medical marijuana five years ago, but yesterday said no to legalizing sales for recreational purposes. Nearly 62-percent of the voters turned down the proposal.
Stitt said he believed the decision was the best thing to keep kids safe and for the state as a whole. He went on to say that Oklahoma is a law and order state and that he is committed to protecting Oklahomans.
