Andover police chief Buck Buchanan was returned to duty after being placed on administrative leave.
KFDI’s news partners at KWCH report that Buchanan was the focus of an internal investigation that resulted from a citizen complaint. Buchanan was placed on administrative leave for almost a month, and he returned to full duty on March 21st.
An 18-year-old man accused Buchanan of sending threatening messages on social media.
Andover officials said a third-party investigation found there was no criminal activity, and appropriate discipline was handed down in the case. The city said it would provide no further comment, saying that the case is a personnel matter.
