Wichita police are investigating a crash that left a Haysville teenager with fatal injuries early Sunday.
Officers were called to the 1200 block of South Seneca around 12:30 a.m. and they found a car that had collided with a tree. 18-year-old Madison Dahl was trapped in the car and rescue crews got her out. She was taken to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead. A passenger, a 19-year-old man, was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Police said the car was traveling north on Seneca when the driver lost control after crossing railroad tracks.
This is Wichita’s fifth fatality crash of the year and it’s the fifth traffic death of the year.
