UPDATE: The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office has identified the body that was found Saturday afternoon in a pond northeast of Haysville. The body of 50-year-old Adam Ray Adams was found in a pond just east of the Kansas Turnpike and just north of 63rd Street South.
The man was found near the shoreline and it’s believed he may have been in the water for some time. Investigators believe he may have been fishing in the pond without permission. No foul play is suspected.
Crews from Wichita, Derby and Sedgwick County were called to the scene.
