A 30-year-old Wichita man was arrested in connection to a stabbing and robbery near the downtown area.
Wichita Police responded to the 1100 block of N. Emporia just before 11:15 p.m. Tuesday evening after receiving a report of a man screaming for help. Officers found a 49-year-old man lying on the ground with cuts to his upper torso.
Investigators later learned that the man had been beaten by multiple people, and that the 30-year-old suspect was one of them. The victim he was armed with a knife and had cut him while stealing his shoes. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities said they later found the suspect hiding, and he was taken into custody without incident.
