Police in Arkansas City arrested a man for pointing a gun at people at an intersection in a reported road rage incident.
Police were called to the 2700 block of North Summit after citizens called 911 to report someone pointing a gun at a car stopped at a stoplight. They tracked down a pickup with an Oklahoma tag and found a handgun inside. The driver was arrested. 50-year-old Branon Duncan of Arkansas City was being held in the Cowley County jail on a bond of $40,000. He was facing two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.
Police said they were told that there was a near-collision that led to an argument.
