Police in Wellington have a suspect in custody after a fatal shooting Monday afternoon.
Officers were called to a home in the 1300 block of North A Street around 1:30 p.m. and they found a 24-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her upper body. She died later at a Wichita hospital. Her name has not been released.
A 24-year-old man was arrested, and charges are pending.
