A formal investiture ceremony was held in Wichita for the new U.S. Attorney for Kansas.
Kate Brubacher was officially sworn into office on March 10th, but the investiture is a more formal and ceremonial event to mark Brubacher’s appointment. The event was held August 4th at the U.S. Courthouse in Wichita, and it was attended by judges, former U.S. Attorneys, law enforcement officers and members of the community. U.S. District Judge Eric Melgren presided over the event.
Brubacher is the first woman to hold the position of U.S. Attorney for Kansas.
