Kansas health officials are investigating a recent outbreak of a bacterial infection that might be linked to a bar and grill in Garnett, in Anderson County in southeast Kansas.
Authorities are asking anyone who visited the Trade Winds Bar and Grill between mid-July and last week, and later experienced symptoms of diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting to fill out a survey available online at the Kansas Department of Health website.
The bacterial infection is associated with eating raw or undercooked poultry. Symptoms usually start within two to five days after exposure. Those affected typically recover without medical intervention.
