A Lawrence man appeared in court Thursday in connection to a homicide that happened earlier this week.
63-year-old Kevin Harris was formally charged with 1st degree murder in the death of 51-year-old Jose Lumbreras of Wichita.
Lumbreras was found a little after midnight Monday morning in the 1200 block of N. Broadway. He had sustained several gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead soon after EMS arrived on scene. Harris was apprehended in Lawrence Wednesday and transported back to Wichita.
A second suspect, 50-year-old Monicie Monicie Ramirez of Wichita, was arrested Monday. She also faces 1st degree murder charges.
Harris’s bond was set at $500,000. There’s no word on a court date at this time.
