A Wichita woman was killed Monday night when her bicycle collided with a car in the southeast part of the city.

Police were called to the 2900 block of South Oliver around 9 p.m., and they found 56-year-old Sue Towles at the scene of a crash.  She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers found that Towles was riding her bicycle south on Oliver on the curb lane when she was hit by a southbound car.   The 58-year-old driver of the car remained on the scene and was cooperating with police as the investigation continues.

Police are asking anyone with information on the crash to call detectives at 350-3686, the See Something Say Something hotline at 519-2282, or Crime Stoppers at 267-2111.

This is the 23rd fatality crash in Wichita this year, and the 23rd traffic death.
