Russell County officials said the body of a Colorado man was recovered Tuesday after the man was reported missing while swimming in Wilson Lake.
Deputies said 52-year-old Andrew Jauch was reported missing Monday. The boat he was riding in had broken down and Jauch jumped into the water to cool off. Because of windy conditions, he was separated from the boat. Other people in the boat tried to help him but the windy conditions hampered their efforts.
Officials with the Kansas Highway Patrol, the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks and Russell County EMS were involved in the search operations, along with Russell County Rural Fire and the Army Corps of Engineers.
