The driver of a car involved in a two-vehicle crash in southeast Wichita has died from his injuries.
A westbound car crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound pickup near Pawnee and Woodlawn. A Sedgwick County deputy witnessed the crash around 4:40 p.m. Wednesday. Deputies said the car was going 77 miles an hour in a 40 mile-an-hour zone at the time.
The driver of the car, identified as Jziya Bryant, died later at a hospital. His 17-year-old passenger and the driver of the pickup had moderate injuries.
Deputies said they recovered guns and illegal drugs from the car, and they’re still investigating.
