The Kansas Bureau of Investigation said an arrest has been made in connection with the murder of a southeast Kansas woman.

A 53-year-old Parsons man was taken into custody for second degree murder and  interference with the judicial process to conceal or destroy evidence of a crime.  He was booked into the Labette County jail. He was arrested after KBI agents carried out search warrants on his home and vehicle.

The body of 28-year-old Kylie Caldwell of Parson was found Sunday in a field south of Parsons, in Labette County.  Investigators said Caldwell and the man who was later arrested were acquaintances.
