Charges are pending for a man and a woman after a confrontation with a Sedgwick County deputy on Thursday.
County officials said it happened around 2 p.m. when the deputy tried to serve an arrest warrant on the woman near 13th and Poplar. The woman reportedly fled to a nearby home. The deputy chased her but then retreated after a man inside the home threatened to kill the deputy.
Both suspects were taken into custody some time later. Deputies learned that the man was wanted for a probation violation. No injuries were reported.
