The Kansas congressional delegation was divided along party lines in Tuesday’s vote to oust Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Republican congressmen Ron Estes of the 4th District, Tracey Mann of the 1st District and Jake LaTurner of the 2nd District voted against the ouster.   Democratic congresswoman Sharice Davids in the 3rd District voted in favor of McCarthy’s removal.

The chamber voted 216-210 to oust McCarthy in an historic move.   North Carolina congressman Patrick McHenry is the Acting Speaker until a vote is held for a new Speaker.
