Tuesday is the last day that Sedgwick County residents can register to vote for the November 7th general election.
People who are registering for the first time will have to meet three qualifications:
- A citizen of the United States
- At least 18 years old by Election Day
- Registered to vote by Oct. 17, 2023
Online voter registration applications are available at https://www.kdor.ks.gov/Apps/VoterReg Citizens can also register in person at the Sedgwick County Election Office at 510 N. Main, Suite 101 in Wichita They must verify that they have a valid driver’s license or a non-driver’s identification card.
Voters who have already registered need to update their information on record if they have moved, changed their name or want to change their political party affiliation. Voters can check their registration status through the Kansas Secretary of State web site.
Voters will be casting ballots for mayoral contests, city council seats and school board seats in the November election.
