One woman was killed and another had critical injuries after a crash in north Wichita.
Officers were called to a two-vehicle crash at 23rd Street North and Jackson, northwest of the intersection of 21st and Broadway, around 3 p.m. A car and an SUV collided at the intersection. Two women were in the car, and one of them was pronounced dead at the scene while the other was taken to a hospital. Two men in the SUV had minor injuries. Their names have not been released
Police had the area closed to traffic through the afternoon while the crash was under investigation.
