Kerri Rawson, the daughter of BTK serial killer Dennis Rader, has resigned from a task force in northern Oklahoma that was looking into possible BTK connections to cold case murders.

The task force was created by Osage County, Oklahoma Sheriff Eddie Virden to look into the 1976 disappearance of 16-year-old Cynthia Dawn Kinney in Pawhuska.   Virden has said that Rader may be connected to several cold cases, but Osage County District Attorney Mike Fisher has said there is no evidence connecting Rader to Kinney’s disappearance.

Rawson said in a post on social media that she has resigned from the National Cold Case Task Force, but she will continue to serve as a protected witness as needed with active law enforcement.

The Task Force has about 30 members and agencies, including retired law enforcement professionals and investigators.
