The Kansas Highway Patrol was redirecting traffic at the junction of I-135 and I-70 after a crash involving a cattle truck Thursday night.

Troopers said a pickup and a semi hauling cattle were going north on I-135 around 8 p.m., and the pickup started to take the exit to I-70 but then went back into the driving lane. The vehicles sideswiped each other and the cattle truck fell on its side.

The driver of the pickup and two people in the semi were taken to a hospital with possible serious injuries.

Troopers and crews on the scene were working to round up the cattle into the late night hours.   Northbound traffic on I-135 was shut down and traffic was detoured to eastbound I-70.
