The Kansas State Fair Board wants more discussions before making a decision on the future of the dirt racetrack on the Fairgrounds in Hutchinson.
The Board decided last year to demolish the track but race groups and race fans protested the decision, leading board members to reconsider the issue. The Board met Tuesday to look at options, and they heard proposals from Mel Hambleton Ford and the National Championship Racing Association.
Board members decided to continue the discussions at their January 9th meeting, and they want more time to consider the options.
