Tickets are now on sale for a U.S. Figure Skating event that will be held in Wichita.
The 2024 Midwestern Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships will be held January 24th through the 27th at INTRUST Bank Arena. The event is being hosted by Visit Wichita and the Wichita Figure Skating Club.
The competition will attract more than 100 teams, 1,000 athletes and more than 200 coaches and team personnel to Wichita. The event is expected to generate more than $2.5 million in economic impact.
Teams will have 8 to 20 skaters performing a program together, executing various formations including lines, circles, wheels and intersections. The participants range in age from 7 to 70. Qualifying teams from the Eastern, Midwestern and Pacific Coast sectional championships will earn a place in the 2024 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships, which will be held in Las Vegas in February.
