Some flights from Wichita to Chicago were delayed or canceled because of winter weather conditions in the Plains and Midwest.
A major winter storm is causing travel issues for many Americans. Over a thousand flights were canceled as of Saturday morning according to Flight Aware. More than 21-hundred were delayed.
Airports in Chicago and Detroit have been experiencing the most impacted. Dangerously cold wind, freezing rain and heavy snow is impacting much of the U.S. this weekend and forecasters say it’s likely to continue into next week. Near record lows are expected in the Midwest, with subzero temperatures in the Deep South.
