Emergency crews were called to a senior living center in El Dorado when a gas leak was reported in the building Tuesday afternoon.
A strange odor was reported around 1 p.m. at the Gordy Square apartments at 200 North Gordy. Fire crews found elevated levels of carbon monoxide throughout the building and the source was found to be a heating unit on the roof.
Around 65 residents were evacuated from the five-story building, and buses took them to a warm location while crews worked to make repairs.
