Former Wichita City Council member Jeff Blubaugh has filed to run for the District 2 office on the Sedgwick County Commission.
Blubaugh filed with the Election Office on Friday and he said he has picked up endorsements from the Wichita Fraternal Order of Police and the Wichita firefighters union.
Blubaugh served on the Goddard School Board and then served two terms on the Wichita City Council. He said public safety will be his highest priority.
The District 2 seat is currently held by Sarah Lopez.
