Three people escaped without injury after a home caught fire in Hutchinson late Tuesday night.
The fire was reported around 10 p.m. at a home in the 1200 block of East 4th. Flames were coming from a single story home and there was initial word that someone may have been trapped inside, but crews found that no one was inside and there were no injuries.
The home was a total loss and a home to the east had some heat damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
