Police have released more information on two separate crashes that resulted in two fatalities.
A motorcycle and a vehicle collided shortly before 6 Tuesday evening in the 1800 block of North Rock Road. The driver of the motorcycle, 41-year-old Robert Johnson of Wichita, was taken to a hospital where he later died. Police said speed appeared to be a factor in the crash, but the investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is urged to contact investigators at 350-3687.
The second crash was reported Wednesday evening just before 6:30 in the 5900 block of South Seneca. A bicycle and a car collided, and the bike rider, 71-year-old Michael Espinoza of Wichita, died a short time later at a hospital. Investigators are still gathering information.
Police said with warmer weather, the city is experiencing more pedestrian and motorcycle activity. Drivers are urged to slow down and share the road responsibly.
