The Sheriff’s offices in two Kansas counties are warning motorists to watch out for two men who have been trying to sell items or ask for money.

The Barton County Sheriff’s Office released photos of two men and their vehicle in connection with an incident that happened Wednesday on Highway 281 south of Great Bend.  A driver was flagged down by a motorist who said he needed help getting to New York.   The driver was talked into buying jewelry items, and later learned that they were fake.

The two men appeared to be of Middle Eastern descent, and they were in a late model white Chevrolet Traverse with a Texas license plate of TVF 8226.  There could be another Texas plate of SPN 9592.

Graham County officials have reported similar incidents in northwest Kansas over the past ten days.
