A bill has been introduced in the Kansas Legislature to ban smoking in all state-owned casinos.
House Bill 2622 would add casinos to the existing list of indoor venues where smoking is prohibited. Testimony on the bill is scheduled to start on February 7th before the House Committee on Health and Human Services. It would add to the Clean Indoor Air Act, which was passed in 2012.
Right now, Kansas remains one of 11 states where people can still light up inside casinos.
