The City of Wichita will have a town hall meeting Wednesday on the issue of homelessness.
Mayor Lily Wu said the meeting will feature information on city services and a community discussion on the effort to work toward functional zero in homelessness. She said representatives of the city’s housing department, the Police Department’s Homeless Outreach Team, and the United Way of the Plains will provide an overview, and residents will be able to ask questions and provide thoughts, ideas and feedback.
The town hall will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the Advanced Learning Library.
