The Kansas Army National Guard sent reporters and leaders in education up in UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters Wednesday as part of their recruitment efforts.
Major General Lee Tafanelli gave a presentation before the flight talking about the potential perks of joining the National Guard, including scholarships and health benefits. Tafanelli said the Guard does more than fight, and that guardsmen and women help with tornado recovery and respond to other disasters like wildfires.
