Starting next week, Wichita Police will be cracking down on inoperable vehicles parked on city streets.
Vehicles that are parked on the street that are inoperable, including those with expired registrations or without license plate will receive a green sticker. The owner will then have 48 hours to remove the vehicle, or it will be towed away.
Police will be patrolling neighborhoods to identify inoperable vehicles. They are also asking residents to report vehicles in their neighborhood that are inoperable.
