Evergy is telling customers to be on the lookout for solar salespeople that are claiming to be the energy company.
Officials said that door-to-door or phone sales teams are claiming to be with Evergy, and that the company sent them to conduct a solar report. They are also indicating that they have partnered with Evergy to provide rooftop solar.
The company said that these people are not affiliated with Evergy, saying that while it works with several solar companies in the area, they do not partner with them to promote residential rooftop solar systems.
