WSU Tech has reported a record number of graduates with its recent commencement. The school’s president, Dr. Sheree Utash, provided an update for Sedgwick County commissioners Wednesday on school events and activities.
Dr. Utash reported that 1,012 students graduated this month, and that’s the largest graduating class in the school’s 58-year history. She also said a recent “signing day” program attracted 201 people, and 150 of them have enrolled for the fall.
Dr. Utash said WSU Tech worked with Washburn Tech to develop a “national signing day” to recruit students. She said WSU Tech is now serving about 9,000 students a year.
