Wichita schools asking for input on new strategic plan

The Wichita school district will be asking for input from parents and the community on a new strategic plan for students.

The current Every Student Future Ready plan is in its final phase this fall, and the district is working on a new plan to prepare each student for life, college, and career.

Parents and Wichita residents are invited to a meeting Tuesday to provide feedback on the goals for a new strategic plan.  The meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Alvin E. Morris Administrative Center at 903 South Edgemoor.    People who attend the meeting are being asked to be ready to answer questions via their mobile phone or other devices.

The meeting will be conducted by the KU Center for Evaluation and Educational Leadership.   Feedback from the meeting will be used as part of a new strategic plan recommendation that Superintendent Kelly Bielefeld will present to the school board in November.
