The City of Wichita has scheduled more open houses for 13 public housing units that are up for sale.
The homes are among 37 homes that have been approved for sale by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The homes are being sold in a move to reposition the Wichita Housing Authority’s housing stock.
The first review of offers has been scheduled for the week of October 16th, and the timelines for offers may be extended.

The remaining 24 houses that have been approved for sale are still occupied. The city will work to help the current tenants with relocation, and at least two of them are working to purchase their homes. The remaining homes will not be sold until they are vacant.
