Police have arrested a 27-year-old Wichita man after two children were found to have injuries related to child abuse.
Officers were called to a local hospital shortly before 4 a.m. Friday on a report of an infant child with abuse-related injuries. The child’s twin was also found to have injuries related to abuse, and that child was taken into protective custody.
The Exploited and Missing Child Unit conducted interviews and identified a suspect, who was booked into jail for two counts of child abuse. The Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office will receive information on the case for a decision on formal charges.
