Dense fog caused a number of crashes across south central Kansas Tuesday morning.
Reno County officials closed a portion of Highway 50 from Blanchard SW to the K-96 interchange because of several accidents, and crashes were reported throughout the county. McPherson County also reported a number of accidents and the Kansas Highway Patrol closed a portion of Kansas Highway 61 because of a serious crash.
A number of accidents were reported in the Wichita area Tuesday morning.
The National Weather Service issued a dense fog advisory for the morning in south central Kansas with visibility limited to a quarter of a mile or less.
