Kansas Senator Jerry Moran and other members of Congress made a bipartisan trip to Israel to present a resolution of support during the conflict and hostage situation in Gaza.
Moran made the trip with Senator John Hoeven of North Dakota, House members Mike McCaul of Texas and Gregory Meeks of New York and other members of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. In a press release, Moran said meeting with the families of the hostages was a “sobering reminder of the fears and pain many families are still facing and the urgency of finding solutions for hostages to be safely returned. Congress and the administration must act to provide Israel with aid and enforce sanctions against Iran to prevent their growing support for terrorist organizations that threaten Israel, our allies and the world.”
During a visit to Tel Aviv, Senators Moran and Hoeven presented Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with a signed copy of Senate Resolution 417, a resolution in support of Israel that passed the Senate unanimously last month.
