Crews saw flames coming from a vacant building in east Wichita on Christmas Day.
The fire was reported shortly after noon at an abandoned two-story building at Douglas and Linden, about a block west of Webb Road. Crews had to go defensive and stay outside the building. Two aerial trucks were used to put water on the fire.
No injuries were reported and the fire was under control within an hour. The cause is under investigation.
