A judge has sentenced a Goddard man to prison for the beating death of his mother.
A jury convicted 44-year-old Kyle Romey of first degree murder and he was given a sentence of 653 months, more than 50 years, without parole.
Deputies arrested Romey after his mother, 67-year-old Denyce Briet, was found dead in a home in October, 2021 in the 15,300 block of West U.S. Highway 54.
