Police are investigating the death of a woman who was found on the porch of a vacant home in south Wichita.
Officers were called to the 900 block of East Mt. Vernon shortly before 9 a.m. Wednesday. They were called to check on someone who was found at a home, and they were met by Sedgwick County EMS paramedics, who had already pronounced the woman dead.
The woman was identified as 48-year-old Tracy McFadden of Wichita. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
