Police have been looking for a suspect after a shooting in south Wichita that left one person with serious injuries.
Police were called to the scene in the 1600 block of South Fern Street around 8 p.m. Thursday, arriving to find the victim – described as a man in his 20s – with a single gunshot wound to his upper torso. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The man told officers that he was shot by a man whose features were obscured by a ski mask. No other suspect information was immediately available, and no one else was hurt.
