The suspect in a fatal 2022 shooting at Wichita’s Towne East Square will be prosecuted as an adult.
During a hearing Wednesday in Sedgwick County District Court, 18-year-old Te’Bryis Robinson faced charges that were refiled in the case. Robinson had appeared in court as an adult in 2023, but an issue with records sent the case to Juvenile Court until new charges could be filed.
Robinson is charged in a March 18th, 2022 shooting incident in the lower level of Towne East Square. Police said a fight led to the shooting, which resulted in the death of 14-year-old TrenJ’vious Hutton.
Robinson is scheduled to be back in court on February 5th.
