The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation have released three photos from a deputy-involved shooting incident that happened in south Wichita on January 25th.

A chase with a stolen car led to a standoff at a home near Harry and Grove, where the driver forced his way inside and held a resident at knifepoint.  The Sheriff’s Office said a deputy fired a shot after seeing 43-year-old Larry Armour threatening the resident.    Armour was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital.

Two photos that were released Tuesday were from an axon body camera worn by a deputy on the SWAT team that responded to the standoff.  The third photo is from the KBI and it shows a knife that Armour was believed to be holding at the time of the shooting.   The Sheriff’s Office said several knives were found in the room where the shooting took place.

The KBI is continuing its investigation of the shooting.
