A woman from Norwich was killed Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Kingman County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said the crash was reported around 9:45 a.m. at the intersection of SE 60th Street and SE 100th Avenue, about three and a half miles south of Murdock. 78-year-old Mary Yahnke was driving an SUV north and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection. Her vehicle collided with an eastbound pickup, striking it on the passenger side.
Yahnke was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver, a 77-year-old Wichita man, was taken to a hospital with possible serious injuries.
